Ceramides make up about 40% of skin’s lipids and play a critical role in strengthening the skin barrier and ability to hold moisture in, providing mechanical protection as well as preventing the absorption of toxins, allergens and microbial pathogens from the environment (Primary anti-microbial barrier in the skin).
Dry skin, skin prone to eczema or psoriasis generally have a deficiency in ceramides leading to a rough, sore skin which lacks elasticity and is more susceptible to wrinkles and diseases.
Age, diet, weather and unsuitable skin care are often a cause of ceramide deficiency in skin: ceramides content drops to only 20% in average by age 55.
Luckily, formulations containing skin identical lipids, particularly ceramide supplementation have been clinically proven to rapidly improve disturbed skin conditions.
Unfortunately ceramides are very difficult to stabilise and tend to crystallise in formulation. =Xaya CERMAMIDES are the results of a brilliant innovation which allows these purified lipids to remain in fluid state until applied to the skin, and have been shown to have a much higher skin penetration rate, making them far more potent in restoring the skin appearance and barrier function.

Dispense a suitable amount of your favourite moisturiser on the back of your hand. Add one or two drops of CERAMIDES and pat gently to blend. Apply the blend to your face, avoiding the eye area.
For intensely dry skin areas, apply a few drops of pure active CERAMIDE concentrate directly on the area to treat, massage until absorbed. We recommend layering with a barrier cream over the top of CERAMIDES in that case, to further lock in moisture.
Dilution rate for whole face application:
Everyday moisture: 1 drop concentrate + 4 drops of your usual moisturiser
Seriously dry skin: 2 drops to 2 drops of your usual moisturiser.
CERAMIDES can be used pure directly on dry patches in case of eczema.
The skin barrier of severely dry or eczema skin is generally compromised, which can lead to increased sensitivity and skin reactions. We do recommend patch testing the concentrate in that case (see our Patch Testing Guide page).

SP LIFT is based on a purified extract of Spilanthes Acmella flowers and leaves which are rich in a unique molecule: spilanthol, a relaxing molecule known as the "vegetable botox". Dispense a normal amount of your favourite moisturiser on the back of your hand. Add one or two drops of SP LIFT and pat gently to blend. The serum turning white indicates perfect blending. Apply the blend to your face, avoiding the eye area.
Dilution rate for whole face application:
1 drop of concentrate in 4 drops of your usual moisturiser.
SP LIFT concentrate may be used pure directly applied on wrinkles. In that case, we recommend layering with a moisturiser on top to enhance the penetration of the active ingredient.
SP LIFT may cause a mild warming sensation on skin when used pure. This is normal but if the sensation is uncomfortable, you can rinse the product off with water and a gentle cleanser.
